I think it is a lot of fun to go on the field trips –but not as a “chaperone.” I like doing it to spend quality time with my son and maybe just to watch him interact with 1 or 2 of his buddies. Is it just me or do the teachers sometimes think field trip chaperone’s are somehow magically equipped to hand 6 kids who they don’t even know?

I want to go but also don’t want to much responsibility by agreeing to be involved.

Going to lunch with them, helping with classroom activities. I know the novelty will wear off quickly, but I’m looking forward to the first (and only the first) funraiser.

I mean “fundraiser” - I meant to misspell that one… haha

Helping the teacher in the class, doing homework with my son, going on filed trips, and being a part of parent groups at the school.
